Duties may include but are not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, organizing, light meal prep. To shop for and or with seniors as they maintain their independence in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Time Commitment<\/strong>: This is a <strong>casual<\/strong> position. Cleaning is done Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. perfect for someone who isn\u2019t looking for full time but has some time to spare. Can work around availability for the right candidate. Main shopping duties are Wednesday and Thursday mornings into early afternoon, but individually escorted shopping can be Monday-Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Duties\/Activities\/Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General housecleaning at the homes of seniors in our community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing other light services as needed to help seniors age at home<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completing required documentation promptly and accurately<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shop for and with seniors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing other related Community Support Services duties as assigned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting and representing the organization in a positive manner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Skills\/Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 12 or GED<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must possess a valid Ontario\u2019s Driver\u2019s License and a working vehicle available on a daily basis to get from one client to the other<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have or are willing to obtain Fresh Food Handling Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to communicate in English-both written and spoken<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physically fit to meet the demands of the job<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pleasant and professional manner at all times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong interpersonal and organizational skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work without direct supervision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respectful, patient and understanding of seniors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Criminal Reference Check<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wage Salary <strong>$21.07 \u2013 $24.79 <\/strong>per hour depending on experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gas mileage paid<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Throughout the City of Kenora at the homes of seniors.
