Wage Range – $29.52 – $34.36 per hour
DEPARTMENT: Nursing
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Unit Registered Nurse
Position Summary:
Join our compassionate team providing quality, resident-focused care in a long-term care setting. As an RPN, you’ll collaborate with Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary staff to support resident well-being through assessment, care planning, and daily support, in accordance with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) standards.
Qualifications:
- Current CNO registration as an RPN
- CPR (Heart Saver) certification (current, and every 3 years)
- Pharmacology and aseptic technique training (per Ministry standards)
- Foot care certification an asset
- Gerontology experience and computer skills preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- TB test and criminal record check required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care and support with daily living activities
- Administer medications and monitor resident response
- Contribute to care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Support resident safety, dignity, and participation
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols
- Assist with documentation, orientation of new staff, and other tasks as needed
